Personal

Short Bio

I was born in Almaty city (Kazakhstan), surrounded by wonderful mountains. When I was two years old, my family moved to Samara city in Russia, where I lived until the start of my undergraduate studies in Dolgoprudny. My studies started at Gymnasium # 11 with a focus on foreign (English) language. In 8th grade, I transferred to the technical department of Medical-Technical Lyceum and spent most of the time on maths, physics, and informatics.

Hobbies

I got started in tourism (mostly backpacking/hiking and water tourism) thanks to my homeroom teacher, head of the Lyceum tourist club. We were lucky to visit Caucasus, Khibiny, Taganai, Altai, Sakhalin, Tien Shan (around Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan).

A couple of photos with me from hiking

On the Lagonaki plateau in the Western Caucasus.
On the way to Shavlo Lake.
After the Nizhneshavlinsky pass (~3300 metres high).

As a child, I was involved in alpine skiing. And now it’s my favorite sport.

At the Shymbulak Mountain resort near Almaty.
